Julia Knoll is a Brooklyn, New York- based visual artist whose work encompasses architectural, landscape, and street photography, with a specialty in abstract black-and-white.

Currently Director of Operations in the MFA Products of Design Department at New York’s School of Visual Arts, she has taught studio art and served as an Artist Relations Associate at the Independent art fair and ArtPrize international arts competition.

Her artwork has been exhibited widely, including at the United Nations, the LA Art Show, Photoville, and the Venice Artivism Biennale; been published in magazines such as Natural Awakenings and LA Artshow News; and received awards that include the International Photographic Council’s Peace through Photography scholarship.

Knoll holds a Master’s degree in digital photography from the School of Visual Arts, and her thesis work, Surreal Sublime, will be exhibited this fall at Manhattan’s SVA Gramercy Gallery.
